Sign Up For Build

We are working with North Central Georgia Habitat for Humanity building a single story home at 5706 Forest Place in Acworth, GA. This year, we will be participating in an Ecumenical Build with volunteers from other area churches and organizations. In addition to volunteers from Mt. Bethel, there will be volunteers from Mt. Zion UMC, Hillside UMC, St. Clement Episcopal Church, Hope Church, and Always Helping People.  This will be a unique opportunity to meet and work with new Habitat volunteers.

The sign-up process will be somewhat different this year. All volunteers will be required to preregister on Signup Genius. The following guidelines have been established for volunteering.

1.  Each participating organization has a certain number of volunteer slots allocated per build date.

2.  Please sign up early. Once the allocated slots are filled no further sign-ups will be permitted unless someone cancels.

3.  If you have signed up and are unable to attend please cancel on Signup Genius so the volunteer spot can be made available to another person.

4.  Two weeks prior to the volunteer date, any unfilled volunteer spots will be made available to all volunteers. For example, if Mt. Bethel has 15 slots allocated and two weeks prior to the date three slots remain unfilled these slots will be made available to all volunteers.

This also means that if you wanted to volunteer on a specific date, and the Mt. Bethel slots were previously filled, check back because some other slots may have become available.

5.   Volunteers must be 16 years of age and older to participate in the build. A parent or guardian must sign the Habitat Waiver Form if under 18 years of age.

6.   Please review the HFH Volunteer Information on Signup Genius. There you will also find links for the Waiver Forms and Online Safety Course. Please review this information prior to your volunteer date. Print and sign the Waiver Form and bring it with you to the build. There are two forms: one for adults and one for minors.

7.   Volunteers will receive a reminder notice from Signup Genius three days before their volunteer date.
